Channel 4+ Is Building the Music Industry Infrastructure Egypt Deserves

For years, Egypt’s music scene has operated on momentum and instinct. Artists have broken through, producers have built careers, and events have drawn global attention—all driven by raw energy and cultural depth. Now, that energy has a home. Channel 4+, known as CH4+, has launched as the country’s first unified music industry platform, created to bring every part of the ecosystem into one continuous, intentional conversation.

Founded by TIN N CO, Digitent World, P+US, and Sound Sauce, CH4+ pools expertise across culture, production, and music technology. The goal is not simply to host events or aggregate talent. It is to create a functioning, collaborative environment where artists, engineers, managers, labels, and cultural operators can connect with purpose and build with vision. As Rabih Mokbel, CEO of Venture Lifestyle, puts it: “The scene in Egypt has been exceptional when it comes to events and nightlife. What we have been missing, however, is the educational dimension. CH4+ exists to fill exactly that space.”
The platform makes its real-world debut from May 14 to 16, 2026, with a three-day summit at District 5 in Cairo. This is not a conference in the traditional sense. It is a living environment where every dimension of the music industry occupies the same space at the same time—conversations unfolding alongside experimentation, workshops running beside performances, and industry access woven into every moment.
The summit is structured around four pillars: Listen, Learn, Connect, and Dance. Curated listening sessions explore music in cultural context. Hands-on workshops and labs open up the mechanics of process and experimentation. Feedback sessions create direct dialogue between emerging talent and established industry voices. And when the work is done, the dancefloor becomes the common language—performances and nightlife moments that transform the day’s energy into something shared and felt. Nirvana Bebars, Founder of Digitent, captures the spirit behind it: “It is essential to build an ecosystem that brings everyone together and gives back to the community. That ethos is at the heart of everything CH4+ does.”
Egyptian music is reaching audiences far beyond its borders, from streaming platforms to festival lineups across Europe and the Arab world. The systems that support that growth—talent development, industry education, and cross-sector collaboration—now have a dedicated space to converge. CH4+ is built for exactly that purpose. “Channel 4+ exists to listen, learn, connect, and dance,” says Aly Touni, Founder of TIN N CO. “Through a truly experiential approach, we are creating Egypt’s first structured music summit—and the infrastructure the scene deserves.”
District 5, the host venue, is not merely a backdrop. Designed for ongoing cultural programming, it allows every layer of the summit to coexist simultaneously—talks, workshops, installations, and performances happening in parallel rather than in sequence. The result feels less like an event calendar and more like a living scene.
The lineup spans DJs and live performers, managers, labels, and music technology brands, all arriving with a shared focus on discovery and longevity. CH4+ is not building toward a single moment. It is building toward a movement—and the summit in Cairo this May is where that movement begins.
