Jacquemus' Spring/Summer 2024 Runway Show in The South of France
- Nada Armanious
Jacquemus’ Spring/Summer 2024 runway presentation created a buzz that extended beyond the presence of iconic figures gracing the front row or strutting down the catwalk. The undeniable focal point was the exceptional collection itself.
Known for taking modern luxury to a refreshing level, Jacquemus resonates with the edgy and youthful, making a profound impact on trendsetting. The Les Sculptures show unfolded in the historic medieval town of Saint-Paul-de-Vence on the French Riviera, a location dear to Simon Porte Jacquemus, and “sculpted” were the silhouettes indeed.
Opening the show was iconic model Gigi Hadid in a dramatically voluminous cream belted coat that set the tone for the rest of the collection. Black, red, and white were the star colors, appearing on impeccably crafted blazers, coats, dreamy dresses, jumpers, suits, and leather jackets. The accessories, including double-heel stilettos, structured bags, and belts, captivated guests with their fresh detailing.
The runway saw the appearance of bride-coded looks that felt reminiscent, at least for us, of Dua Lipa’s white ensemble at Simon Porte’s own wedding. Sheer, fitted, and romantic white dresses took center stage, foreshadowing inspiration for many prospective brides.

“It” models such as Emily Ratajkowski, Imaan Hammam, Vittoria Ceretti, and Mona Tougaard confidently showcased their looks as Kylie Jenner and her five-year-old daughter Stormi Webster sat front row in full red attires. Among the distinguished show attendees were Julia Roberts, Amina Muaddi, Kristin Davis, Lena Mahfouf, and others.
