As part of Paris Haute Couture Week 2026, Chanel presented its Spring/Summer 2026 collection by Matthieu Blazy, marking his first haute couture outing as artistic director of the house. The show took place at the Grand Palais in Paris, where the space was transformed into a dreamlike, enchanted garden complete with giant pastel mushrooms, pink willow trees, and whimsical scenery.

If you can’t tell already, the main inspiration behind the collection was nature, birds, and lightness. Fittingly, Blazy cited a haiku about a bird on a mushroom as a guiding concept. Everything, right down to the fabrics, reflected this sense of freedom and evolution found in nature, with delicate embroidery and fluid, airy silhouettes throughout.

The runway featured a mix of sheer skirt suits, flouncy chiffon dresses, tweed with a twist, and pieces referencing birds in flight. Feather-like textures, subtle trompe l’oeil effects, symbolic embroidery, and a joyful couture bride look closed out the finale.
And the front row? Chanel brand ambassador Nicole Kidman, Dua Lipa, Penélope Cruz, Tilda Swinton, Anna Wintour, A$AP Rocky, and many more.
