Maison Margiela is taking to Dubai to unveil Maison Margiela Residences, the House’s first-ever venture into residential living. Developed in collaboration with Alta Real Estate Development, the project translates the Maison’s avant-garde design codes into a new form of luxury living.

Comprising 25 exclusive units on Palm Jumeirah, each residence is envisioned as a blank canvas for Margiela’s unconventional spirit. Italian architect Carlo Colombo has joined forces with the Maison’s architecture team to craft an entirely bespoke furniture collection, sofas, armchairs, tables, chairs, beds, and lighting, each designed exclusively for the Residences.

For Margiela, space and furniture have always been more than function, they’re a medium of expression. From immersive set designs and conceptual installations, to the transformation of La Maison Champs-Élysées hotel in Paris back in 2011, and even to the House’s collectible bottle lamps, white cushions, dolls, and feather pens, the brand’s creative language has long extended beyond fashion.

That same dialogue between materiality and imagination continues here. The Residences feature travertine furnishings inspired by classical objects, resin-filled indentations in optical white, and the décortiqué technique that deconstructs and redefines form.

Beyond the interiors, amenities immerse residents in the Maison’s quiet world of art and discretion, including an art gallery, curated library, fitness studios, infinity pool, gym, spa, and a Margiela Café.
With the opening of its new boutique and Margiela Café at the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, the Maison continues to expand its presence in the region, and we can’t wait to see what it has in store next.
