Louis Vuitton reunites with Takashi Murakami for the second time to come up with the new Artycapucines VII collection. The French Maison and the Japanese contemporary artist share a storied history that dates back to 2002, when their first collaboration under then–artistic director Marc Jacobs reimagined the LV Monogram canvas in 33 vibrant colors.

This 2025 edition marks nearly two decades since that iconic debut, making it both a creative and strategic reunion. The collection embraces a maximalist, sculptural, and playful spirit, infused with Murakami’s signature motifs, smiling flowers, mushrooms, and whimsical cartoon characters, all brought to life at the grand reveal.

Unveiled at Art Basel Paris inside the Grand Palais, the presentation featured a monumental octopus sculpture that presented the collection’s showcase. The lineup includes 11 limited-edition Capucines bags, with standout pieces such as the Capucines Mini Mushroom, Capucines Mini Tentacle, Capubloom, Capucines East West Rainbow, and Capusplit BB.
