One of the largest ceremonies dedicated to recognizing and celebrating artistic achievements in the Arab world, the Joy Awards held its fifth edition at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Known for its grandeur and star-studded atmosphere, the Joy Awards 2025 unfolded with its iconic lavender carpet, welcoming a dazzling array of the region’s most talented figures and creative works.

The awards spanned a variety of categories, celebrating innovation across digital content, television, sports, and music. This year, the Television Series category introduced three new subcategories, alongside the addition of the Directors category, further recognizing influential individuals in the industry.

Music Category Highlights
In the Music category, the awards spotlighted exceptional talent. Asala Nasri was crowned Best Female Singer, while Ayed won the title of Best Male Singer. Majid Al Mohandes’ song “El Jaw” took home the Best Song award, and Saudi artist Rakan Al Sa’ed was recognized as Best Rising Singer, cementing his place as a rising star in the music scene.

Film Category
The Movie category celebrated remarkable performances and productions. Hannah El Zahed earned the Best Actress in a Film award for her role in Fasel Men El Lahazat El Lazeeza, while Hesham Maged won Best Actor in a Film for Ex Merati. The Best Film honor went to Welad Rizk 3: Al Qadia, a standout production that captured audiences across the region.

Television Category
Huda Hussein won Best Actress in a Series for Zawja Waheda La Takfi, and Samer Ismail claimed Best Actor in a Series for Al Ameel. The Best Levant Series award went to AlRawabi School for Girls Season 2, while Nema El Avoccato secured Best Egyptian Series. The Best Gulf Series title was awarded to Shabab El Bomb 12.

Sports Category
In the Sports category, Hattan Alsaif was named Best Female Athlete, and Salem Al Dawsari won Best Male Athlete, highlighting their extraordinary contributions to the world of sports.

New Directing Category
The newly introduced Directing category honored Tarek Al-Eryan as Best Film Director for Welad Rizk 3 and Rasha Sharbatji as Best TV Series Director for Wlad Badeea.

Influencers Category
The Influencers category celebrated online content creators who have resonated deeply with viewers. Narin Amara, known as Narin’s Beauty, was awarded Best Female Influencer, while Shoong Boong (Ahmed Al Qahtani) won Best Male Influencer.

Lifetime Achievements and Special Awards
The ceremony also paid tribute to global and regional icons. Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to Morgan Freeman, Hans Zimmer, Andrea Bocelli, Yasser Al Azma, Abdullah Al Muhaisen, Abdullah Al Ruwaished, and JK Youn. Matthew McConaughey was honored as Personality of the Year, while Joy Honoraries included Guy Ritchie, Hrithik Roshan, Mohamed Abdel Aziz, Saad Khedr, and other esteemed figures. Additionally, Poet Badr bin Abdulmohsen received the prestigious Diamond Entertainment Industry Award.

The lavender carpet welcomed an illustrious lineup of stars, including Youssra, Mona Zaki, Ahmed Helmy, Nelly Karim, Ahlam Al Shamsy, Mai Omar, Ayah Samaha, Riham Abdelghafour, Tuba Büyüküstün, Nadine Njeim, Amanda Seyfried, Tara Emad, Nour Arida, Yasmine Sabri, Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Dina El Sherbiny, and many more.

The evening’s entertainment was nothing short of magical. Performances by Christina Aguilera, Andrea Bocelli with Mohammed Abdo, and Michael Bublé with Wael Kfoury captivated the audience, adding a mesmerizing touch to the event.
