Etro revisits one of its signature accessories with the introduction of the Vela Blossom, a new version of the Vela bag that softens the original design while keeping its distinctive shape. First defined by its sharp, aerodynamic silhouette, the Vela returns for Pre-Fall 2026 with a more fluid structure, shifting the focus from precision to ease without losing the line that made the bag recognizable.

The new model keeps the V-shaped construction and closure that define the original, but the proportions feel more relaxed. The frame is covered in leather, the Pegaso medallion is reworked with a subtler finish, and the hardware blends more into the body of the bag instead of standing apart from it. The effect is quieter, but also more tactile, with materials that emphasize softness over rigidity.

Texture plays a central role in the update. Versions appear in smooth nappa, suede, and shaded leather finishes, with tones moving from dark neutrals to lighter natural colors. The surfaces feel deliberately supple, allowing the bag to hold its shape without looking stiff, a change that gives the Vela Blossom a more effortless presence compared to the sharper original.

What makes the new iteration stand out is the balance between structure and flexibility. The handle and body are built to move, giving the bag a slightly molded look that follows the way it is carried rather than forcing a fixed form. Even with the softer construction, the silhouette remains clean, keeping the architectural quality that has defined the line since its introduction.

With the Vela Blossom, Etro does not replace the original design but expands it, showing how the same shape can shift through material and proportion. The result feels less like a reinvention and more like a continuation, a bag that keeps the identity of the Vela while moving it toward something lighter, more fluid, and easier to wear.
