Kendrick Lamar is leading the pack with the most nominations—nine in total. He’s closely followed by Lady Gaga, Jack Antonoff, and Cirkut, who each earned seven nominations.
Sabrina Carpenter has been announced as the first confirmed performer and is also up for six Grammy Awards: Record of the Year for Manchild, Album of the Year for Man’s Best Friend, Song of the Year for Manchild, Best Pop Solo Performance for Manchild, Best Pop Vocal Album for Man’s Best Friend, and Best Music Video for Manchild. Bad Bunny, Leon Thomas, and Serban Ghenea are also nominated for six Grammy Awards each.
Other performers include rap legends Clipse and Pharrell Williams, who are also nominated for their work on Clipse’s album Let God Sort ’Em Out. You’ve also got Chappell Roan, Doechii, KAROL G, Mumford & Sons, Sam Smith, and more scoring nominations this year.
Excitingly, all eight Best New Artist nominees will take the stage, including Addison Rae, Alex Warren, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, and The Marías.
So, what’s new? Two new Grammy categories are being introduced: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover. You can tune in on February 1, as the event will air live on the CBS Television Network and stream on Paramount+.
