Abu Dhabi Festival returns for its 23rd edition under the theme “The Wisdom of Culture,” a powerful reflection of the UAE’s Year of the Family and a reaffirmation of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation’s ongoing commitment to empowering communities through the arts. This landmark edition also honors the United States of America as the Festival’s Country of Honor.

So, what makes this year’s programme especially significant? The 2026 edition marks 30 years since the founding of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation and will officially commence on 12 April 2026. Opening the festival is Grammy Award–winning artist Jon Batiste, who will take the stage at Emirates Palace. The edition will also debut the Children’s Biennale, the Arab world’s first dedicated outdoor biennale for children, launching at Umm Al Emarat Park.

The festival will bring together over 1,000 artists from 19 countries, performing in Abu Dhabi and across the world. Anchored by its unifying theme, the programme positions culture as a guiding light that connects Abu Dhabi to the global creative landscape. Audiences can look forward to an exceptional lineup featuring 10 world-renowned orchestras alongside ballet, opera, recitals, and concerts, with globally acclaimed performers captivating audiences of all ages. The UAE will be prominently spotlighted through exclusive co-productions, collaborations, and exhibitions, underscoring its growing influence on the international cultural stage.
